About Us

Pets Country Club is located at Elcho Park and boasts a history that dates back 150 years! The bluestone cottage was originally built in 1867 as the gatehouse to the Elcho Homestead on Bacchus Marsh Road, and was part of a 4,000 acre estate.

 

While the whole estate has performed various functions over the years, the property at 170 Elcho Road has served as a boarding establishment for dogs since the 1960s.
 

Now in its latest reincarnation, Pets Country Club is still very much a family business! The Hill family have owned and run this business since 1996, and they are renowned for the expert care and service they provide to all their clients.

 

With deep roots in the pet care industry, the Hill family has a proud history of shaping and implementing policies across various fields, including veterinary care and dog training, and the specialised training of service dogs.
 

In addition to their commitment to Pets Country Club, the family has also successfully built and operated a pet hotel business from conception to reality. They ran this venture, 'The Pets Hotel' in Port Melbourne, for 12 years before ultimately handing it over to new owners.   

 

This expertise has been combined with years of research and planning to deliver local pet owners with a facility that offers maximum comfort and safety for their furry friends. The facility has been designed to ensure the very best for pets and peace of mind for owners. At Pets Country Club, V.I.P stands for Very Important Pets and Very Important People.
